BPEC IAL ~JETING
RAMSEY TOWN BOARD & PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

December 13, 1971

Meeting was held at 8:00 p.m. in the office of attorney Goodrich
in A noka. Present were Mr. Scarborough and Mr. Gotham of the
Town Board and Mr. Reimann, Mr. Russell, Mr. Anderson~ Mr. Wurm,
Mr. Jerich, Mr. Pittman and Mrs. Guy of the Zoning Co~m~ission.

We were told that platting makes all legal work dealing with land
much easier. Platting sets the width for all streets and high-
ways under the jurisdiction of the Township. There are four· or
five variations of streets. If a plat is more than 30 acres,
then a certain percentage of it is set aside for parks. If it
is under 30 acres, then a certain percentage is put in escrow
for parks. We can influence use of land for about two miles
beyond the edge of the township if this area does not have plan-
ning and zoning. We can govern limited access to highways.

At this point the platting ordinance for the Village of Chan-
hassen was reviewed by all present. At this time there is no
federal money available for township planning.

Mr. Goodrich said he would incorporate the changes made by this
group in the reviewed ordinance and have copies made up for the
perusal of the Town Board and the Zoning Co~mission.

The meeting adjourned at 10:4~ p.m.

Respectfu]~y submitted,
~gcretary ~"
