Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-09-231 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO PEARSON BROTHERS, INC. <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 15-00; 2015 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM — <br />DIV A <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted a budget for 2015 that included $500,000 for <br />sealcoating various public streets as part of the City' s annual Street Maintenance Program; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted June 9, 2015, the City <br />Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized advertisements for bids for said <br />improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted July 14, 2015 the bid of <br />Pearson Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $255,496.12 for the total bid is the lowest responsible <br />bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, as of September 22, 2015 $0 has been paid to date; and <br />WHEREAS, the Engineering Technician IV has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Pearson Brothers, Inc. in the amont of $249,181.48. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Pearson Brothers, Inc. for <br />Improvement Project 15-00; 2015 Street Maintenance Program in the amount of <br />$249,181.48. <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of September 22, 2015. <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />RESOLUTION #15-09-231 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
