Documentation of short and long term computer system needs. <br />2. Written bid specifications for an in-house computer system that meets <br /> current word processing needs (Phase I) and is specifically designed to <br /> meet the identified future need for an integrated information processing <br /> system (Phase 2). <br />3. Assistance in reviewing the computer system proposals submitted to <br /> Ramsay in response to the bid specifications. <br />q. The opportunity for future assistance in implementing the selected <br /> computer system. <br /> <br />BASIC SERVICES <br /> <br />Taking Rarnsey's existing needs assessment as background information, TRP will <br />extensively review current operations and document the following: <br /> <br />Short term and long term needs and priorities: In relation to o two phase <br />acquisition end implementation program, the consultant will work with <br />Ramsay staff to determine and document current and future needs, and <br />the most appropriate transition program, <br /> <br />Specifications and design of computer system: Bid specifications will be <br />prepared that will address the following elements. <br /> <br /> a. Applications: generally, what the software must do <br /> b. Capabilities: specifically, what the software must do given Ramsey's <br /> data and how it would do it <br /> c. Scale and Scope: how much of Rarnsey~s information must be <br /> handled concurrently and how the information must be managed by <br /> the system for acceptable access by operators <br /> d. Use: how the software must be designed to allow for trouble-free <br /> start up and ongoing use by staff <br /> <br />I-k]r~e: <br /> a. Scale: the memory and storage capacity required to meet Rarnsey's <br /> data quantity and data type needs; the capacity needed to meet the <br /> software requirements <br /> b.
