PUBLIC SERVICE CO., Division of Donovan Companies, Inc., for Authority to Change its Schedule 'of Natural Cas Rates for Retail Customers within the State of Minnesota on its Northern Natural System DOCKET NO. G-010/GR-83-333 Notice of Application for Rate Increase On June 15, 1983, North Central Public Service Co., Division gf Donovan Companies, Inc., filed with the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission a general rate increase, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 216B.16. Pursuant to the Commission rules, a portion of this increase or an interim rate adjustment will be in effect during the investigation of the full increase. North Central intends to place the interim rates into effect on August 15, 1983. The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission must make a decision on our full requested rate increase by April 13, 1984. If tile Commission finds that the interim rates are in excess of the rates in the final determination, the difference between the interim increase and the approved increase, plus interest, will be refunded to customers in a manner to be determined by the Commission. North Central's full proposed rates will generate $2.0 million in additional revenues,, or an approximate 4.7% increase in annual gross revenues on its Northern System. Examples of the effect of the proposed and interim increase on typical bills are shown below. Individual changes may be substantially higher or lower. A public hearing will be scheduled by the Public Utilities Commission. Public notice of tike hearing dates' and locations will be publi~flked in the local newspapers in North Central's service areas.
