Tuesday, October 6, 2015 No Meetings Scheduled Preview of Next Week October 1, 2015 Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association (ARAA)/ Northern Lights Soccer (NLS) will be hosting the Minnesota Youth Fall Soccer Jamboree on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Elmcrest Park. This event is estimated to have 2,500-5,000 attendees. Council Update Public Safety Open House- Saturday, Oct. 10' Stop by Ramsey Fire Station 41 on Saturday, October 10�h to meet Ramsey police officers and fire fighters, tour the fire station and fire trucks, and even see the North Memorial Hospital helicopter. There will be demonstrations including the police speed trailer and fire demos. Fun activities for kids include a bouncy house and a chance to spray a fire hose. Food and ice cream will be available. Attached to this Weekly Update is a Public Safety Open House event flyer. U.S. Representative Nolan visits Ramsey. U.S. Representative Nolan will visit the City of Ramsey on Friday, October 2, 2015, to discuss improvements to U.S. Highway 10. This event will consist of a guided tour of U.S. Highway 10 from Anoka to Ramsey, followed by a short lunch meeting. The tour will include a few staff/elected officials, El Tinklenberg, and U.S. Representative Nolan. Save the Date: • 13th Annual Taste of Community. Thursday, October 8, 2015, 5:30 — 8:30 p.m. at Green haven Golf & Banquet Center, 2800 Greenhaven Road, Anoka, Tickets $30 each. Attached to the Weekly Update is the 13' Annual Taste of Community Flyer. • Fall Employee Appreciation Luncheon and All -Staff meeting. Thursday, October 22, 2015, starting at 11:45 a.m. in the Alexander Ramsey Room at City Hall. • 6th Annual Mayor Trail Ride. Saturday, February 6, 2016. It's hard to believe but in a short 6 months we will be in the dead of winter! One of the highlights of winter is the Mayors Trail Ride Snowmobile Event.
