Voting yes Commissioner Rustad, Lichter, Johnson and Hetland.
Voting no None. Members Absent: Donovan, Lokker and McLean.

2) Mr. Arnie Cox regarding tree location in Ramsey Development Park:

Mr. Cox was not present. City Engineer Raatikka presented a map to the
Commission of the Ramsey Development Park and discussed briefly the place-
ment of trees in the park.

The general concensus of the Park Commission was that there could be pine
on the north edge of the property and other shade trees on the west and
southeast of the parking area.

3) Informational:

There was a discussion again on the well and irrigation system for the
Ramsey Central Park. The Park Commission feels this is necessary and that
something could be worked out on the lack of funds for this project.

The Park Commission discussed the newspaper article regarding Anoka wanting
to charge the surrounding communities for the recreational facilities in
the City of Anoka. The Park Commission wanted to have more information on
this subject prior to their making any committments.

Motion by Commissioner Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Rustad to oppose
any payment to Anoka until they more clearly define what costs they are in-
curring as we don't receive the same type of treatment as they do as they
are a free standing community.

Motion carried. Voting yes Commissioner Rustad, Lichter, Johnson and
Hetland. Voting no None. Members Absent: Donovan, Lokker and McLean.

P&R/November 17, 1983
