Input from EPB Booth at 2015 Happy Days <br />What value do natural resources and conservation add to your community? <br />• Helps preserve the ozone layer <br />• Wants to see better access (trails) through the Trott Brook greenway corridor and work to <br />maintain it in a natural state rather than seeing it developed. <br />• Better educate boaters on the Rum River of the Slow/No-Wake provisions. Work with County to <br />get additional buoys installed through Ramsey's section of the river. Install signage at public <br />accesses with a picture of canoe landing that designates the end of the Slow/No-Wake Zone. <br />• Offer incentive (to encourage people) for those who take advantage of water conservation, soil <br />aeration, solar energy, etc. <br />• Protect open space and the river <br />• Use stencils on storm drains as education <br />• Place for families to walk in nature <br />• Natural resources provide a peaceful area to relax outside of your home <br />• Helps the ecosystem <br />• More pure, conservation <br />• Makes it a better place to live <br />• Prevent erosion <br />• Bike trail along Trott Brook <br />• Better lighting in parks (crime, curfew) <br />• Publicize new parks <br />• Adds a lot of value: exercise, wildlife <br />• Adds beauty, breaks up city scenery <br />• Attracts wildlife <br />• Preserve for future, kids <br />• Preserve water quality <br />• <br />
