CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 10/13/2015 <br />By: Grant Riemer, Engineering/Public <br />Works <br />4. 6. <br />Information <br />Title <br />Accept Quote and Award Contract for Resurfacing of Police Garage Floor. <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: Accept low quote for resurfacing of the floors in the police garage and sally port. Staff requested and <br />received two quote for resurfacing the garage floors in the police department. This project was listed in the 2014 <br />CIP for funding in the amount of $15,000.00. <br />Notification: <br />NA <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />The garage floors in the police department are starting to deteriorate from normal wear and tear. These floors see <br />high volumes of vehicle use with a large amount of turning movements. Resurfacing of these floors would return <br />them to their original condition. The process would include removing the old surface, through grinding or shot <br />blasting, filling any defects and applying a polymer epoxy to the floor and then topcoat the entire surface with <br />polyurethane enamel. <br />Funding Source: <br />Facility Fund <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that the city council accept the low quote from SwedeBro Resurfacing for resurfacing of the <br />police department garage floors the amount of $15,500.00 <br />Action: <br />Motion to accept Swede Bros Resurfacing quote of $15,500.00 for the resurfacing of the police department garage <br />floors or a motion to accept alternative recommendation based on council discussion.
