3) <br /> <br />110.1515 Heading & Item 1 - Parts added <br />110.1524 - Determined that horse club would need a <br /> permit for shows (Dennis Donovan will contact <br /> Merle and Horse Club to inform them of this <br /> requirement) <br /> <br />Also to check with the Horse Committee on size of shows so that no <br />parking problems will arise. <br /> <br />Mr. Ron Alwin, Consulting Engineers Diversified <br /> <br />Mr. Alwin reviewed the bond issued and presented a rough layout of the <br />50 acres to be known as Central Park. The park access off Armstrong <br />Blvd. may be bad and City Administrator/Clerk Schnelle suggested getting <br />a traffic count done by the Public Works Superintendent regarding an <br />access from 161st. <br /> <br />It was suggested getting input from the Planning and Zoning on an access. <br /> <br />Am open discussion followed on the rough layout of the park and facilities. <br />The following facilities were suggested and discussed: <br /> <br />Field Sports Courts <br /> <br />Baseball - 1 <br />Little League - 4 <br />Softball 4 <br />Soccer 1 <br />Football - 1 possible <br /> <br />Basketball 1 <br />Volleyball 2 <br />Teraais - 4 to 6 <br />Horseshoe 5 <br />Hockey 2 <br /> <br />Also a building for rest rooms, concessions, storage and the maintenance <br />equipment were suggested. <br /> <br />Lighting for 1 hockey rink, 2 softball fields and the tennis courts were <br />discussed. <br /> <br />A well and minimum irrigation were discussed. <br /> <br />It was requested that Consulting Engineers Diversified have some cost <br />estimates at the next joint meeting so that a more realistic approach can <br />be made as to cost and facilities. <br /> <br />The following were discussed in regards to the bond issue: <br /> <br />Traprock Park - Not to be included on bond ~ left as <br />is with an exception of reviewing the stand and possible <br />childrens play area <br /> <br />Peltzer Park - Not to be included on bond - left as is with <br />changes already mentioned, i.e., paint and dirt <br /> <br />P&R <br />May 15, 1980 <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
