-2- <br /> <br />Tom Gs~ec indicated that he would be meeting with Federal Cartridge <br />on 12-28-79. <br /> <br />Marc Hadley presented a summary of the Fall Community School Program <br />and plans for the winter session. Approximately 2270 people attended <br />classes or special events sponsored by the community school. Ice <br />rink hours were established as follows: <br /> <br />Monday- Friday: 4 - 9 P.M. <br />Saturday: 10 A.M. - 8 P.M. <br />Sunday: 1 - 6 P.M. <br /> <br />Marc suggested adding a counter for the attendant and phone at the <br />warming house for emergencies. It was recommended to the Council by <br />the Commission on a unanimous vote to consider these items. <br /> <br />A1 Kempf President of the Ramsey Athletic Association (RAA) and Don <br />Locker the equipment manager met with the Commission to obtain equip- <br />ment storage space. The RAA is now established as a non-profit <br />organization and is established. They will work with AYAA and want <br />to schedule games out here and improve facilities. Presently RAAwill <br />be invoved in baseball, softball, football, soccer, basketball and <br />volleyball. After a motion by McLean seconded by Swanson it was <br />reco~mmended that Council allow the use of City Hall for equipment <br />storage. <br /> <br />Mayor G~aee noted that a joint Cotuncil, Planning and Zoning and Park <br />and Recreation Commission meeting was scheduled for January 21, 1980. <br /> <br />Mrs. Joyce Watts called Dennis Donovan and wanted the City to install <br />a security light for skating at 142nd and Germanium. It was recommended <br />by the Commission that the Council consider this request. <br /> <br />Sam Walz's letter of resignation was accepted and the Commission requested <br />the City Administrator to send a letter of appreciation to Sam. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:50 P.M. <br /> <br />John Lichter <br />Secretary <br /> <br /> <br />
