P & R Meeting
March 15~ 1979

Marc Hadley pmesented a proposed change to the summer community school pro-
gram. The Commission recommended acceptance of this schedule change by
Council on a motion by Irvine, seconded by Lichter and approved unanimously.

Marc Hadley also reviewed the skating program and discussed the difficulties
of the past season. In general we felt that the rink condition was generally
satisfactory but there was difficulty with establishing warming house personnel
during the initial portion of the season. Marc does anticipate the need
for another rink next season. He also recommended additional lighting for
the pleasure skating rink and rubber matting for the warming house. The
existing carpet is dangerous and should be removed.

Correspondence from the Ramsey Rangers Saddle Club establishing show dates
of April 29, gune 10, July 8, August 12, September 9 and October 7 at
Titterud Park was received. The Club also requested that sattelite facilities
be provided. After discussion by the Commission the secretary was directed
to draft a letter for the Administrator that the City would probably provide
toilet facilities after the park was developed, however, the Saddle Club
should bear the cost of toilet facilities until that time. Motion by Walz
and seconded by Haller.

Meeting adjoumned at 9:23
