HIGHWAY #10 CASE OF CITY OF RAMSEY By: Megan Wald, Associate Planner Background: During the April 13, 2004 City Council meeting several actions were taken related to officially mapping Highway 10 and establishing land use controls within the subject corridor. The following actions were taken: the Council directed staff to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding between Anoka County, MnDot, and the City of Ramsey, the Council introduced an ordinance establishing an Official Map Ordinance, adopted findings of fact related tO rezoning the corridor from B-2 to Official Map, introduced an ordinance to rezone the corridor to Official Map, introduced an ordinance establishing Section 9.20.22 H-1 Highway 10 Business District, adopted findings of fact related to rezoning the corridor from B-2 to H-l, and introduced an ordinance to rezone the subject properties to H-1 Highway 10 Business. Adopt Official Map Ordinance: The City Council held the required public hearing and reviewed the ordinance during their April 13, 2004 meeting. The ordinance is now eligible for adoption. Motion to adopt ordinance __ establishing an official map ordinance within City Code. Roll call vote: Mayor Gamec Council member Pearson Council member Elvig Council member Strommen Council member Kurak Council member Cook Council member Zimmerman Adopt Ordinance to Zone Properties Official Map: The City Council held the required public hearing and introduced an ordinance to rezone properties from B-2 Highway Business to Official Map. The ordinance is now eligible for adoption.
