PUBLIC HEARING CASE <br /> <br />By: <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARING TO VACATE AN ACCESS EASEMENT <br /> WITHIN THE TOWN CENTER GARDENS SUBDIVISION; <br /> CASE OF BRIGHTKEYS DEVELOPMENT CORP. <br />Patrick Trudgeon, AICP Assistant Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey has an access easement parallel to Bunker Lake Blvd. (CR 116) to access <br />City Pumphouse #2. Currently the City utilizes Bunker Lake Blvd. to access the pumphouse. <br />As part of the Town Center Gardens Development and in anticipation of improvements of <br />Bunker Lake Blvd., a new access will be constructed from a public road interior to the <br />development and the existing access on Bunker Lake Blvd. will be closed. With the creation of <br />the new access, the existing easement is no longer necessary. <br /> <br />The City Council introduced the ordinance to vacate the access easement on April 13, 2004. In <br />conformance with State Statutes, a public hearing needs to be held. <br /> <br />The tbllowing items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) Exhibit of underlying easements to be vacated <br />b) Proposed access from Town Center Gardens subdivision <br />c) Proposed ordinance <br /> <br />Public Notice: The public hearing was properly notified in the Anoka County Union. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council conduct the public <br />ordinance vacating the access easement to City Pumphouse #2. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Ordinance #04- to vacate the easement for <br />Pumphouse # 2. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Asst.
