SPECIAL MEETING <br />RAMSEY CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF R~4SEY <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey City Coundil was held on September 9, <br />1976 at the Ramsey City Hall, 14100 St. Francis Blvd., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cox <br />Councilwoman Oliphant <br />Councilman Gorham <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Reimann <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mr. William GoOdriah, <br /> City Attorney <br />Mr. Gil Bremicker <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6'15 p.m. by Mayor Cox. <br /> <br /> The purpose of the meeting was to interview Mr. Bremicker for the <br /> possible position of Administrative Assistant. There was a general <br /> discussion between all Council members and Mr. Bremecker concerning <br /> the various facets of the Administrative Assistant position in <br /> Ramsey as well as discussion of Mr. Bremicker's background. <br /> Councilman Gorham presented a list of items which the Administrative <br /> Assistant would be expected to perform and asked Mr. Bremicker to <br /> review the same and ask questions if he had any. concerning each item. <br /> Concerning salary, Mr. Bremicker stated that his bottom figure would <br />'~~."be $21,000. Councilman Gotham stated that it was his opinion that <br /> $18,000 per year is the amount which could be paid by the City. <br /> Mayor Cox stated that he would consider reviewing that salary amount <br /> after the first six months of employment. Mr. Bremicker stated he <br /> felt a probation period would not be necessary, that a periodic ~ <br /> review of each employee is necessary. It was determined by the <br /> Council and Mr. Bremicker that Mr. Bremicker would call Mayor Cox <br /> on September 10, 1976, and advise him of his decision regarding the <br /> informal offer made by the Council. No formal action taken. <br /> <br />Councilman Mickelson made a comment concerning the budget which he <br />has been working on with Arlene Peddycoart. He stated that it is <br />difficult for him to determine~the status of the various City's <br />accounts. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann moved to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Gotham. <br />Ail ayes, no nayes, motion carried.
