PUBLIC HEARING Proceedings of the City Council City of Ramsey County of Anoka State of Minnesota PUBLIC HEARING Vacation of cul de sac on 155th & Nutria A public hearing was held on September 13, 1976, at Ramsey Elementary School, 15000 Nowthen BouleVard N.W., Ramsey, MN 55303 Present: Mayor Cox Councilman Gorham Councilman Mickelson Councilwoman Oliphant Councilman Reimann Also Present: Acting Clerk Peddycoart Mayor Cox called the public hearing to order at 7:10 p.m. Mike Ternus and Doug Lynch, petitioners, stated their request for vacation of the cul de sac on 155th and Nutria in Whispering Pines Plat No. 1. The reason for the request is for improved appearance of the area and to keep kids off of it with cars. Councilman Reimann asked what the present frontage of their lots is. The two petitioners were not sure exactly what the front foot is at present. Mr. Ternus drew a diagram of how the lots pie into the cul de sac. Mayor Cox stated that the cul de sac gives them more frontage for future subdivision. Mr. Lynch said the telephone company would move the cable located there and pay for it if this is approved by the City. He also said he had been given an estimate of $200 to complete the project. Mayor Cox stated that the engineering costs would have to be paid for by the petitioners. Councilman Gorham said he would have to review the plat of Whispering Pines No. 1 before he could comment. Mayor Cox said this would be brought up at the September 27th meeting. Council will review the plat. Mayor Cox asked for other citizen comments. There was no response.
