Special Meeting/Council <br />September 21, 1976 <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A Special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on September 21, 1976, at <br />Ramsey City Hall, 14100 St. Francis Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, MN 55303. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cox <br />Councilman Gorham <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilwoman Oliphant <br />Councilman Reimann <br /> <br />A1 so Present <br /> <br />Acting Clerk Treasurer Peddycoart <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Members: <br /> <br />A1Sorteberg, Chairman <br />Bradley Bodle <br />Gerald Zimmerman <br />Tom Moorhouse <br />Ron West <br />Tom Gamec <br /> <br />Ramsey Economic Development: <br /> <br />Teresa Henderson <br />Robert Muller <br />Donald Greenberg <br />Allen Sorteberg <br />Roger Meyers <br /> <br />Mayor Cox called the special meeting to order at 8:55 p.m. The purpose of discussing <br />the right of way for Industrial Boulevard alignment. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox stated that he had met last week with Mr. Greenberg and Mr. Menkveld regarding <br />the possibility of obtaining a right of way for Industrial Boulevard alignment. <br />The Mayor diagrammed the property involved on the City map. He reported on Mr. Menkveld's <br />present municipal septic system and depicted the relation of this to the road alignment. <br /> <br />He said the County is planning to build a road through the area providing the City can <br />obtain a right of way. Mr. Menkveld is willing to donate a right of way if some <br />arrangement could be made to allow him to put mobile homes on the property he owns, <br />one mobile home per acre, with individual septic systems. Mr. Menkveld was to be <br />present tonight with all the records on the past rezoning, the septic system, etc. <br /> <br />Discussion by Planning & Zoning and Council regarding the trailer court and the Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox read August 21, 1972 minutes perti~nent to Mr. Menkveld's trailer court. <br /> <br />Discussion concerning appearance of Mr. Menkveld's prOposal, the Ordinance requirements <br />being met and whether PCA would approve the septic system he has at present ensued. <br />Also discussed was the future park to be located at the Landfill possibly a golf course <br />similar to Greenhaven. <br /> <br />Also, the possibility of purchasing the right of way land from Mr. Menkveld, the <br />possibility of locating the City municipal center in this area. Or, the possiblity <br />of obtaining EDA funding for the purchase of the land. <br /> <br /> <br />
