Page 5 <br />December 8, 1975 <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann suggested tabling the matter until the <br />next meeting because it has been past Council procedure to <br />have the Planning Commission submit a list of names to <br />Council for their consideration in fairness to all applicants. <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann inquired about the status of the outstanding <br />fire bills. Administrator Walker said he is checking into <br />having them added to the assessment roles. He will contact <br />these people asking them to remit in ten days and after 'that <br />the matter will be turned over to the city attorney. <br />New Business ~ <br /> <br />Personnel Rules and Regulations. Administrator Walker <br />presented position descriptions for foreman-streets, <br />laborer, building inspector, chief of police and patrolman. <br />No action taken. <br /> <br />League of Municipalities membership. Councilman Reimann <br />asked what the annual dues are. Administrator Walker <br />replied $1267 for the year or $63~ for eight months. No <br />action at this time. <br /> <br />Administrator Walker requested authorization to purchase a <br />torch for the maintenance department. <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann authorizing the staff to purchase a set of <br />torches~ not to exeed $196,60 and a tank, not to exceed $120.O0, <br />obtaining at least three other price quotations before purchasing. <br />Seconded by Gorham. Carried 5 to O <br /> <br />Administrator Walker reported on the quest of a new pickup for <br />the maintenance department. <br />Mayor Cox requested that actual quotations with a list of <br />specifications be obtained from at least three companies~ <br /> <br />Mayor Cox asked that Mr. Jerich be placed on the next agenda <br />so that he may present the key to the new squad car. <br />Council commended the citizen efforts and responses to the <br />spaghetti dinner making the purchase of the squad car possible. <br /> <br />Personnel Committee. Mayor Cox suggested a meeting between <br />the Personnel Committee and staff be arranged to see if there <br />are any problems or grievances. Administrator Walker stated <br />that as Administrator for the City this was his responsibility and' <br />he would take care of reviewing the staff regularly. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann inquired about the status of the two-way <br />radio for the City hall. <br />Administrator Walker said it will take four to six months <br />to obtain a frequency and the cost is in the neighborhood of <br />$6,000 to $7,000 for new equipment and because we are at the <br />sideline of not going over the budget he is going to check <br />the possibility of purchasing used equipment. <br /> <br /> <br />
