Administrator <br />V/aIker' re~d the I'ollowi~gmon--~l~ repor~s''I'or October: <br />Police, Street Department and Building Inspection Department <br />and reported court fines collected amounting to $192.8~. <br /> <br />Community Education Proposal. Motion by Oliphant that Council <br />acc&pt the COm~uni'ty Education proposal as listed on the memo- <br />randum dated November 21, 1975, and that the cost to the City <br />of Ramsey is not to exceed $2,450.00 with the program commencing <br />December 15, 1975. Seconded by Gorham. Carried 5 to O~ <br /> <br />1976 Budget. Administrator Walker reported on the tax mill <br />an-~the afI~ect upon the community. The total budget for 1976 <br />is $2~7,742.50. He read a letter from the State of Minnesota <br />Municipal Commission and reported that he is working toward <br />getting more State Aid. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox asked for citizen input on the Budget. There was none. <br />Mayor Cox suggested looking toward the future on replacing the <br />old catepiller-grader. Administrator Walker replied this could <br />be included in the capital improvement fund. <br /> <br />Mr. Gorham asked about the status of obtaining a two-way radio. <br />Administrator Walker said it takes four to six months to get a <br />frequency and it has to be for a particular site longitude and <br />latitude. He added that he has requested the frequency for the <br />new building site. <br /> <br />Motion by Mickelson, seoonded by Gorham to accept the 1976 City <br />Budget as presented. Carried 5 to O. <br /> Mickelson <br />Resolution on tax levy. Motion by~ that the City Council,. <br />City 'o£ E'~m~-~y, does"hereby resolve that the tax levy for 1976 <br />for general taxes is $138,787.79, with a special dutch elm <br />levy of $6,000.00. (Resolution No. 2) Seconded by Gorham <br />and Carried 5 to O. <br /> <br />Liabilitx Insurance - liquor establishments. Discussion on <br />'~dequ~tg'a'mdunYs oi' coverage for liquor establishments. <br />Administrator Walker is to write an amendment to the present <br />ordinance for the next meeting. <br /> <br />Discussion on cemetary trees adjacent to the airport. <br />no action taken. <br /> <br />Discussion, <br /> <br />Status on 153rd Street Construction Project. Administrator <br />Wal~e'~ s-~a~hat construction o'~ 153rd ~treet has been <br />suspended until Spring. The 'Right to Construct' has been <br />obtained on all the properties but some will not accept the <br />market value and these parties will have to go through <br />condemnation proceedings. <br /> <br /> <br />
