SPECIAL MEETING OF RAMSEY CITY COUNCIL ON THE COMMUNITY SCHOOL May 14, 1975 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Cox at ;+:00 p.m. at the City Hall. Present were Mr. Gorham, Mr. Mickelson and Mrs. Oli- phant. Mr. Reimann was absent. Also present were Mr. Stewart, Mrs. Karla Bray, Mrs. Cich, Steve Althouse and Kris Gruber. This meeting was called so the Council could receive a report on the progress of the Community School program for June 16th thru July 31st. Mike Pomeroy, Glen Steffen and Karla Ruud will assist in this program. The shirts for the children will cost $2.00 each and will carry Ramsey wording on them. They will soon be sending out brochures on the summer school pro- gram. Those interested in the program will register at the Frank- lin School. Mr. Cox asked Mr. Stewart if they would get the grading done at the school playground, as soon as possible. He feels we have passed up on some good weather for this purpose. If the Lions Club does not have it completed, the Councill will see that some snow fence is provided up there at any rate, for temporary fields. The phone used for this program will be the one at the Ramsey School. Mr. Stewart said he was very happy that we have Kris and Steve on this program. Mr. Gotham moved we are authorizing Mr. Stewart to go ahead with this program. Seconded by Mr. Mickelson. Motion carried unanimously. If there are any questions that come up, call Mr. Stewart. May 22nd all are invited to the workshop at the Anoka Sr. H.S. at 6:30 p.m. when dinner will be served. Cost is $1.OO. Mr. Mickelson moved the meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Mr. Gotham.
