PUBLIC HEARING
COUNCIL OF CITY OF RAMSEY
January l&, 1975

The hearing was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr.
Cox. Present were Mr. Gorham, Mr. Reimann, Mr. Mickelson, and
Mrs. Oliphant.

Anoka International Sales and Service want~to put up a building
block construction, 60x150 ft. with separate wall but it will
butt up against the present motel building. It would be used for
warehousing and working on trucks.

Merle Anderson asked who is responsible for equipment and vehicles
parked in the back of the Anoka International property. He asked
that they put in screening between their plaCe of business and
the residential property. Notices were not mailed to the surround-
ing property owners.

Wayne Seeman objected to the condition of grounds of Anoka-Inter-
national property. He also wanted screening. Mr. Reimann stated
there definitely would be screening put in according to the re-
quirements of the Zoning Code. Mr. Seeman said there were piles
of sand left by the firm that seal coated their street and now
the snow plows were spreading it when they plowed. He said he did
not know when the rezoning was done in May of 1973. He was told
that hearings were held and it was published in the papers at that
time. Mrs. Oliphant said she did not feel Anoka-International had
made any attempt to screen this business from the homes in back of
it.

Mr. Anderson said he had no objection to the way the zoning was
handled but he does object to the fact that this business is not
properly screened. He does not object to this rezoning if this
business will be handled according to the zoning ordinance with
proper screening.

Hearing was closed at 7:~0 p.m.

Respectfully sub~tted.

Clerk ~
