Case #12: Adopt Ordinance to Amend Landscape Requirements in the B-1 Business, B- 2 Business, E-1 Employment, and E-2 Employment Zoning Districts Assistant Colnmunity Development Director Trudgeon reviewed that on April 13, 2004, the City Council introduced an ordinance to amend the landscape requirements in the commercial and employment districts. The ordinance is now eligible for adoption. He noted the case discussed earl i er tonight with Precise Metalcraft had a lot of building and bituminous, and this ordinance can be amended in the future if there are additional problems. Jon Enstrom, 870 [ - 131 st Avenue, suggested there be an option for a site that has a difficulty locating trees to mitigate the trees and make a donation of trees to City parks. Councilmember Cool< stated this is a good suggestion. He suggested another option would be a tree bank. Councihnember Elvig suggested some language be added to the ordinance with Mr. Enstrom's suggestion included. Councihncmber Strommen suggested the issue of tree mitigation and tree banking be discussed in relation to all of the zoning districts. Mayor Gamcc requested staff to add this topic to a worksession agenda.
