EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA HELD: MAY 11, 2004 pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on the 1 lth day of May, 3004, at 7:00 P.M. The following members were present: and the following were absent: Member adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION CALLING PUBLIC HEARING ON ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1 WHEREAS, The City Council deems it necessary and expedient that the City of Ramsey, Minnesota, adopt an ordinance establishing a special service district; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 428A provides that an Ordinance establishing a special service district may not be adopted until after a public hearing is held by the City Council following mailed notice and two publications thereof in the official newspaper stating the time and place of the hearing, containing a map showing the boundaries of the proposed special service district and a statement that all persons owning property in the proposed district that will be subject to a service charge will be given an opportunity to be heard at the hearing; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota, as follows: 1. A public hearing will be held at the time and place set forth in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto as Exhibit A to consider the adoption of the Ordinance establishing a special service district. 2. The notice of said public hearing shall be in substantially the form contained in the notice hereto attached. 3. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of said hearing to be given two publications in the official newspaper. Said publications shall be two 1642975vl
