CASE <br /> <br /> LIONS PICNIC/APPLICATION FOR <br />A ONE-DAY, 3.2 MALT LIQUOR LICENSE <br />By: Jo Thieling, City Clerk <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Ramsey Lions are again applying for a one-day, 3.2% malt liquor license for the Community <br />Picnic that is scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Central Park. The Lions have provided al <br />of the necessary documents required for issuance of this type of license. Under City Code, it is a <br />permissible activity to grant a 3.2% malt liquor license to the Ramsey Lions Club for this event. <br /> <br />As has been done in the past, City staff is requesting Council waive the license fee. The Lions <br />Club is non-profit and generously gives to the comlnunity. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to approve application for the Ramsey Lions Club for a one-day, 3.2% malt liquor <br />license for the Community Picnic scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Central Park; <br /> <br />and - <br /> <br />Motion to approve staff's request to waive the fee for such an event. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />City Administrator <br />Police Chief <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />CC: 05/11/04 <br /> <br /> <br />
