The cost of the bridge is not <br />reflected in this analysis. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />This is a park that will serve the entire City. The additional fields and parking will <br />take pressure off from the facilities at Central Park. The project could be phased to <br />reduce the initial cost; however the future construction may require closing part or the <br />entire park for a period to allow for completion of the work. Phasing will have <br />increased costs due to additional mobilization, smaller quantities of work and <br />inflation. Staff recommends soliciting bids for the work using the moderate proposal <br />as the base bid and the additional work bid as an alternate. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Motion to authorize solicitation of bids. The base bid will include the items identified <br />in the moderate proposal, with the remainder of the work bid as an alternate.
