Mayor Gamec commented in regard to driveways. Persons who wish to have a <br />driveway installed may contact the firm doing the project and arrange to <br />have it ±nstalled with the project if possible, but, they have to pay for <br />it themselves. <br /> <br />Mr. Mox, ]_6530 Yolite Street, asked if the culvert is already on your property <br />do we have to keep it cleaned? <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka replied that it is the property owners and therefore it <br />is their responsibility. <br /> <br />Mr. Mox asked if it is plugged for some reason such as due to heavy rain, do I have <br />to clean it. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka stated no, in cases like this, you may call the City, however, <br />it is the homeowner's responsibility to maintain the culvert. <br /> <br />Ms. Hesselgrave, 7601 166th Avenue N.W., stated that Variolite street project <br />is not following the same direction, is this going to happen on these streets <br />also? <br /> <br />Engr. Raatikka stated that they will follow the travelway as it exists now. <br />The widening will be done by pushing out the street the way it is now. <br /> <br />Mr. Mox asked how many ton is 1½ inches of asphalt. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka replied that it is a five ton road. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec notified the people to call City Hall if they see heavy equipment <br />coming into their area that may cause damage to the road. <br /> <br />Mr. Mox asked when Variolite is going to be surfaced. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained the problem they are experiencing with Variolite. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka said that it has not been determined to date when Variolite <br />will be completed, it is on a capital improvement project schedule. <br /> <br />Steve Nasby, 7657 156th Avenue, asked where the contingencies fit into the <br />cost. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that it pays for engineering, inspection, advertisements, <br />bonding process, paperwork, etc. <br /> <br />Comacilman Reimann stated that they will be paying the cost and expenses <br />involved in the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Mox asked if the Variolite project will show up on their taxes. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec commented that ~ASA funds were being used for Variolite. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox asked what Mr. Mox meant by his statement. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARING - SPORTS HAVEN <br /> JANUARY 29, 1980 <br /> PAGE 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
