Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS FOR CAROL-ROSE ACRES <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to adopt Resolutiom <br />No. 80-10 Ordering Improvement and Preparation of Plans for the Carol-Rose Acres <br />street improvement project. See Resolution File for Resolution. <br /> <br />Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and Sorteberg. <br />Voting no: None. Motion carried. <br /> <br />It was noted that there are 22 lots on thepetitior, on Carol-Rose Acres and <br />that 58 percent of the people signed the petition requesting the street <br />improvement. <br /> <br />A letter from Mr. Springer was received in which he is voting against the project. <br /> <br />LOADER BIDS <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced that the lowest bidder is Minnesota Tractor. He also <br />called attention to a letter of recommendation from Merle Mevissen, Street <br />Superintendent and his request to purchase the loader fromMinnesota Tractor <br />on a buy back schedule. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to purchase <br />the loader from Minnesota Tractor according to their bid and adopting <br />Resolution No. 80-11"Accepting the Bids Received for the Purchase of a <br />Loader and Awarding the Bid to the Lowest Bidder~ See Resolution No. 80-11 <br />attached as Exhibit A for listing of the bids. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle said the bids were let at this time to beat inflation <br />costs and that the tax settlement money won't be here until July. He asked <br />permission to seek financing. And, Council granted the permission. <br /> <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET <br /> <br />The following Planning & Zoning members were present: Kathy Schneider, Ron West, <br />Art Dunn, Ben Deemer, Ken Peterson, Gerald Zimmerman and the following <br />Park & Recreation members were present: Greg Drake, Terry McLean, John Lichter, <br />Dennis Donovan and Dick Swanson. <br /> <br />Mr. Bernell Fedje was acknowledged and Mayor Gamec reminded persons who wished <br />to have articles in the Union are to contact Mr. Fedje. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec informed everyone present that he and Councilman Mickelson are <br />on the Council's Budget Committee. <br /> <br /> SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br /> January 29, 1980 <br />Public Improvements (streets) <br />Capital Improvement Budget for the City <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
