PUBLIC HEARING <br /> City of Ramsey <br /> Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Ramsey City Council held <br />a public hearing regarding the improvement of the streets in Unplatted <br />Hagen's Addition which is specifically located in the Northwest Quarter <br />and the North one-half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 6, Township <br />32, Range 25, on April 8, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 <br />Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Mirknesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilman Mickelson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:25 P.M. by Mayor Gamec who led in <br />the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced the purpose of the meeting. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka reviewed the projects feasibility report and the <br />estimated costs. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec outlined the procedure and announced that water and sewer <br />are not foreseeable in the future and therefore, it is important to keep <br />sewer systems in good order and that blacktopping put in now will not <br />be torn up right away for sewer and water. <br /> <br />He also stated that a performance bond is posted for one year to insure <br />that the streets are constructed properly. <br /> <br />Gene Davis, 9321 - 176th Avenue N.W. asked why all the streets in the <br />area are not being proposed for the project, who is responsible for main- <br />taining the streets, why width proposed is only 24', and why are per <br />units higher for this area than for Halland Acres? <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said this was the section which was petitioned for and as a <br />rule, no streets are proposed for blacktop on which a petition has not <br />been presented. <br /> <br />Mr. Davis also asked regarding the lot on the corner of 176th and Driscoll <br />and whether or not it will be assessed again when Driscoll is blacktopped. <br /> <br />The response was that it probably will not be assessed again as corner <br />lots get only one assessment.
