Ms. Dorothy J. Smith, 6820 - 158th Lane N.W.

Ms. Smith said there is 400' out of the piece that is designated as four future
units that her house sits in the middle of.

City Engineer Raatikka said that matter would be looked into at the time of
the Assessment Hearing. He said if it is impossible to subdivide, one of
the future lots would be eliminated.

Ms. Smith noted if a house sits on 600', the owner is only charged for one
unit and if a house is on 200t, the owner gets charged the same.

Mayor Gamec said the residents were confusing sewer & water with blacktopping.
He said according to the current ordinance, if a person owns a 5-acre parcel~
he cannot put in a one-acre lot; he would have to put in a 2~ acre lot.

City Engineer Raatikka said a unit includes all existing units, but 200' is
needed to subdivide. 600' would be three units if it is subdividable. It
has been the council policy to assess per unit.

Mayor Gamec explained that four future units means that the parcel could be
divided into four 2~ acre lots.

Mr. Frank Becker~ 15921'Ebony'Street N.W.

Mr. Becket said he wasn't confused regarding lots~ but the lots marked out
for him were not accurate.

City Engineer Raatikka said that his parcel is less than five acres so it
is not subdividable.

Mayor Gamec said even though someone has a 1,000' frontage: if he doesn't have
five acres, it cannot be subdivided.

Mr. Jim Baron, 6720 - 158th Lane'N.W.

Mr. Baron asked if there would be 38 units.

Mayor Gamec said there will possibly be 37 units.

Mr. Baron asked what the projected future for sewer & water in the area was.
He noted the residents have no guarantee that the streets will hold up,

Mayor Gamec said the projected time for sewer & water is 15 to 20 years.
He noted the decision the city will make this spring will be on how to assess
the seal-coating costs.

Mr. Baron asked how the city decides if a lot is subdividable or not.

Mayor Gamec said at the Assessment Hearing~ everyone will be told whether
they get one assessment or two.

Ms. Dorothy Smith,'6820'z 158th Lane~N.W.

Ms. Smith asked if a person has 1000' if he/she shouldn't have five votes.

Public Hearing
June 16, 1980
Page 2
