City Engineer Raatikka noted the ordinance calls for plantings and landscaping <br />on residential and commercial boUndaries'. He Said the developer has completed <br />the final plans, but he hasn't reviewed them because he just received them. <br />But if the plans meet all the conditions he spelled out, they should be okay. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich said as the developer progresses on this property, <br />the other property will be released to him. He said a contract will be <br />drawn up and the council will sign it at their regular council meeting <br />on July 8, 1980. <br /> <br />The developer agreed to the City Attorney's recommendations. <br /> <br />3) Requestfor.Meadowbrook'Estates-Regamding,'Pmeliminary.~Plat'Approval <br /> <br />This is deleted at Mr. Johnson's request. <br /> <br />4) Request 'for'Pondvale Estates'Regarding'Preliminamy Plat~Approval <br /> <br />The City Attorney has not received the abstract on Pondvale Estates, <br />so previous council action still stands. <br /> <br />5) Board of Review <br /> <br />This was covered earlier in the meeting. Administrator. Schnelle noted he <br />had letters prepared for council's signatumes. <br /> <br />6) Major Changes to Recreation Open Space Metropolitan Development Guide Plan <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said there will be a series of hearing on these changes by the <br />Metro coUncil. <br /> <br />7) Public Hearing Regarding'Policy'Plan Juvenile'Justice.to Metro. Development <br /> <br />Guide 'ChapterLaws'and~Justice <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich said that Metro Council is trying to come up with a <br />unified system of dealing with juvenile justice including preventative actions <br />and dealing with juvenile offenders. He said this is just going to be a <br />first hearing. <br /> <br />8) Taxes'on'Recreation Land Being'Donated'by Mr. Raudio <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said getting the delinquent real estate taxes <br />on the land that Mr. Raudio is giving the City transferred to the remaining <br />land Mr, Raudio is retaining is going to take County Board action to do. <br />There is $15,000 worth of taxes due. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Reimann to give <br />city staff authority to go to the County Board to get the delinquent real <br />estate taxes on the land that Mr. Raudio. is giving to the City transferred <br />to the remaining land Mr. Raudio is retaining. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
