Mayor Gamec discussed a letter received from Senator Durenberger regarding <br />revenue sharing. <br /> <br />The Council agreed that a.letter to Senator Durenberger and Congressman <br />Oberstar be sent thanking them for their assistance in keeping revenue <br />sharing alive. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Comncilman Sorteberg to forward <br />a letter to these Legislators as stated above. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he is meeting with Mr. Leone and Mr. McGinley regarding <br />the City's assessing situation. Councilman Cox said if there is a problem <br />we should get this brought out and resolved. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said the Governor should be advised that we can't keep up <br />with all the ordinances and paperwork required by the State and Federal <br />governments and that the levels of bureaucracy are overwhelming. <br /> <br />A general discussion on what the Economic Development Commission is doing <br />and where they are at on their various programs was held. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />BONNIE ABEL - CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br /> <br />Bonnie Abel was present and said she agrees with the findings as presented <br />by the staff. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to approve <br />the findings of fact as presented..~ ~J~'~,~ ~2,~,~ ~-~ ~a~-~z ~./>~¥¥Y~ <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to enter into <br />the contract as presented with Bonmie Abel based on the findings of fact <br />approved in the previous motion. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Cotuncilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />JOHN JANSEN - CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br /> <br />Mr. John Jansen was present. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to <br />approve the findings of fact as presented.,~'~ <br /> <br />Motion carried.
