Commission meeting of August 27, 1980 was
noted.

9) Budget Committee

Mayor Gamec said he and Councilman Mickelson have reviewed the budget for
1981 and were looking at a mill rate of approximately 22 mills. The air-
port feasibility study and the remodeling of the lower portion of City
Hall are some of the areas that will show where the city has committed its
dollars. He said he definitely wanted feedback from council members on
this budget as a mill rate of 18,5 may be what the City is looking at and
on where to cut. Getting involved in State Aids is going to cost the city
money.

City Administrator Schnelle said the city is going to have to do a feasi-
bility study on the sewer going in, on the second connection and on water.
He suggested maybe going with an inhouse planner instead of going out of
the city. He said the police requested to men, but this was put in the
supplementary part of the budget. He said the levy goes by what the budget
is not what is spent. He said the city is fighting and tax situation and
and a State Aid situation. There is front end money for grants, sewer and
water and the airport study.

10) Add to Election Judges - Subs

Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorgeberg to approve
two election judge subs -Marily Lechert and Lorraine Nedry.

Motion carried.
