SPECIAL COUNCIL <br /> City of Ramsey <br />Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Council held a <br />special meeting on September 30, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 5S303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Acting Chairman: Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Cox <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br /> <br />Acting Chairman Reimann called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilmen Sorteberg to approve <br />the Agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Councilmen Reimann, Sorteberg, Mickelson and Cox. <br />Voting no-None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS (Continuation of Council Agenda of September'23,'1980 <br /> <br />Regular Council Meeting) <br /> <br />1) Street Surfacing'Of Tungsten 'a~d Drainage of Rivlyn'Avenue <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka reported on his review of the drainage at the intersection <br />of Rivlyn Avenue and Tungsten Street and the possibility of overlaying Tungsten <br />Street. He recommended a drainage inlet be placed on the existing manhole <br />to eliminate runoff from the south side of Rivl!rn Avenue from flowing across <br />the street and north unto Tungsten Street and he recommended that the city <br />pick up the residential share of the storm sewer assessment and assess this <br />cost out at the time Rivlyn is upgraded to urban standards. He recommended that <br />Tungsten be improved with one and one-half inch bituminous overlay including <br />the proposed e. xcavation approximately 150 feet north of Rivlyn Avenue and <br />construction of a swale to drain the water to the storm sewer and widening <br />of the street to 24 feet. He recommended this project be added to an existing <br />city project by change order to allow for construction of the project this year. <br />He stated the costs proposed to be assessed on a front-foot basis were estimated <br />to be an annual cost per 100 foot lot of $84.12. <br /> <br />Special Council <br />September 30, 1980 <br /> Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
