PUBLIC HEARING <br /> City of Ramsey <br /> Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Council held a <br />public hearing regarding the Street Improvement Project #80-12 (l??th, l?9th, <br />Tonto, Yakima, l?8th) on October 15, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Cox <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 8:40 P;M. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the project had not been finished yet and there ~as <br />ditch work, culverts, driveway repairs, etc. to be done. <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Ea sley, l?~th Ave. N.W. <br /> <br />Mr. Hensley commented that H & S did a very good job and were very <br />helpful and there was a minimum of inconvenience to the homeowners <br />in the area. <br /> <br />Ms. Diane Hapson~ 5111 - l?9th Ave. N.W. <br /> <br />Ms. Hanson said she didn't feel they should have to pay two assessments <br />and she lives on the corner on 179th & Yakima. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said city. staff would prepare a finding of fact and make <br />a decision on this at the regular council meeting on the 28th of <br />October, 1980. <br /> <br />Ms. Hanson said she was told that across from them the lots were unbuildable, <br />but there are houses on some of them now. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said a new ordinance went in about two years ago and if <br />these lots are brought up to standard, then they will have to pay an <br />assessment at the time they apply for a building permit. <br /> <br />Ms. Hanson said there are very few people who have to drive on 179th. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said looking at the soil, it wouldn't meet the <br />city ordinance and the DNR wouldn't allow that area to be developed. <br /> <br />Ms. Hanson asked if the owner of that property was being assessed anything. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said the owner is being assessed one unit. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />October 15, 1980 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
