8) City Attorney Regarding Awarding Bond Issue Bid for $375,000 1980 <br /> <br />Series II <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec opened the bids for the General Obligation Improvement Bond <br />Issue $375,000 1980 Series II. <br /> <br />1) Northwestern National Banc~at 8.1475% <br />2) American International Bank at 8.1457% <br />3) First Bank of St. Paul at 8.3770% <br />4) Allison/Wm. Comps_ny at 8.177% <br /> <br />$194,320,00 <br />$194,275~00 <br />$199,793,05 <br />$195,025~00 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to adopt <br />Resolution #80-147d to accept the bond issue bids for $375,000 1980 Series II <br />and to award the low bid to American International at $194,275 at 8.1457 % <br />interest rate. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Cotuncilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />9) Price Qutoes on Police Car <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said the Chief of Police is requesting that <br />Council accept the price quote from Elk River Ford Mercury which is the <br />second lowest price quote as the lowest price quote did not meet the speci- <br />fications in engine size. <br /> <br />Much discussion was held on this issue. <br /> <br />City staff was directed to ask the Police Department to get quotes on a <br />smaller size car. <br /> <br />10) Moving of Storage Building; Case of Arnold Cox <br /> <br />Building Official Berg said the City is running business through a lot of <br />red tape for temporary buildings and additions. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said he would prefer to have it outside of the fence and then <br />dress it up and put on a foundation in the event someone would want to rent <br />it. If 'this wasn't accepted, he would put it in the back for storage. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Reimann to approve <br />the building permit application for a storage building Mr. Cox wishes to place <br />on his property located on Sanfish Lake Blvd. and that the requirements of <br />the proposed site and design plan ordinance be waived in view of the improve- <br />ment bar. Cox has continued making at his place of business and that the in- <br />spection fee be waived as it will not be necessary to inspect the structure. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Comncilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson and <br />Reimaran. Voting no-None. Councilman Cox Abstained. <br /> <br />11) Regular Council Meeting Scheduled for November 11, 1980 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Reimann to set the <br />date for the first regular council meeting in November for November 10, 1980 <br />instead of November 11, 1980, which is Veteran's Day. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, <br />Reimarm and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />C/October 28, 1980 <br /> <br /> <br />
