7.03: Introduce Ordinance #15-15 Amending City Code Section 117-1 (Definitions — <br />Chapter 117, Article II, Division 4, Subdivision III (Floodplain Overlay Districts) <br />Community Development Director Gladhill reviewed the staff report and recommendation of the <br />Environmental Policy Board and Planning Commission to introduce Ordinance 915-15 to amend <br />Section 117-1 (Definitions) and Chapter 117, Article II, Division 4, Subdivision III (Floodplain <br />Overlay Districts) to incorporate by reference the updated Flood Insurance Rate Maps and the <br />Flood Insurance Study, both dated December 16, 2015. <br />Councilmember Kuzma stated that he has been through the process with insurance regarding <br />floodplains and believed updating the maps would be helpful to residents. <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Shryock, to introduce Ordinance <br />#15-15 amending Section 117-1 (Definitions) and Chapter 117, Article Il, Division 4, Subdivision <br />III (Floodplain Overlay Districts) to incorporate by reference the updated Flood Insurance Rate <br />Maps and the Flood Insurance Study, both dated December 16, 2015. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Kuzma, Shryock, Johns, Riley, <br />and Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember LeTourneau. <br />
