RESOLUTION #15-12-297 A RESOLUTION ACQUIRING 37 -ACRES FOR LAKE ITASCA COMMUNITY PARK, AND SATISFYING PARK DEDICATION FOR NORTHFORK INC. WHEREAS, access to parks, natural resources, open space and recreation areas, are essential to the quality of life, health and welfare of the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, community park systems play a vital role in providing a diversity of needed recreational opportunities to individuals and families; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has planned for the Lake Itasca Community Park for decades in the location of Outlot E, Northfork Moors Addition; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey and Northfork Inc. have intended on the conveyance of Outlot E through deferred Park Dedications and other considerations; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey and Northfork Inc. have reached a mutually beneficial agreement to dedicate Outlot E as park, satisfy all Park Dedication obligations, including for remaining developable areas along Alpine Drive, and this shall be executed in the form of the December 2015 Amended Park Dedication and Trail Development Agreement for Northfork Inc.; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: That, the City Administrator and Mayor are authorized to execute the December 2015 Amended Park Dedication and Trail Development Agreement for Northfork Inc., Dedicating the 37 -acre Outlot E as park, and issuing $75,000 from the Park Trust Fund to Northfork Inc. in recognition of the difference between the market value of the park parcel and the cash value of the Park Dedication and Trail Fees satisfied. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: none and the following abstained:
