PUBLIC HEARINGS/COMMISSION BUSINESS <br />5.01: Public Hearing: Request for a Variance to Accessory Building Height Restrictions <br />on the Property Located at 9491 Inverness Lane NW; Case of Allen and Alycia <br />Skogquist <br />Public Hearing <br />Vice Chairperson Bauer called the public hearing to order at 7:02 p.m. <br />Presentation <br />City Planner Anderson presented the staff report stating the City received an application from <br />Allen and Alycia Skogquist for a variance to exceed the allowable mean gable height for a <br />detached accessory structure on the property located at 9491 Inverness Lane NW. The subject <br />property is approximately 1.71 acres in size and is limited to a mean gable height of sixteen (16) <br />feet for detached accessory buildings. The proposed building would have a mean gable height of <br />twenty (20) feet. Staff reviewed the request in further detail and recommended approval of the <br />variance. <br />Citizen Input <br />Allen Skogquist, 9491 Iverness Lane NW, thanked the Commission for considering his request. <br />Motion by Commissioner VanScoy, seconded by Commissioner Maul, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Bauer, Commissioners VanScoy, Maul, <br />Andrusko, and Brauer. Voting No: None.
