("Helis") in relation to Helis' proposal project that would <br />drill a well, a judge ruled in a hearing that St. Tammany does not have <br />the authority to stop Helis' project based on zoning laws. Reportedly, <br />the judge stated that the local zoning laws cannot override the regulatory <br />authority of Louisiana Department of Natural Resources' Office of <br />Conservation. <br />Source: Marcellus.com; http://marcellus.com <br />PENNSYLVANIA <br />Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter is proposing to have the city's <br />8.5% hotel tax applied to short-term home and room rentals. Supporters <br />of the proposed tax say Airbnb-type rentals are essentially short-term <br />hotels and should be made to follow the same rules.
