be submitted to the Metro Council by January 30, 1981 for <br />presentation a% the February 4th Solid Waste Advisory <br />Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated he felt Burns Township's soil would <br />be desirous for a cite and this could effect a large portion <br />of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested City Engineer Raatikka draft a response <br />and the Council consensus was favorable. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec referred to Item 13, letter from Metro Council <br />dated December 1980 regarding Mobile Homes and other Manufactured <br />Housing. Enclosed as Exhibit #1. He stated the Council <br />should be aware of this type of housing and the possibility <br />for more likelihood of contending with this type of housing <br />due to inflation. <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />The Council noted the following Staff Reports: <br /> <br />1. Building Official Report dated January 19, 1981 <br /> (encl D-l-i) <br />2. Police (encl D-l-2) <br /> <br />The above reports were noted and the Council did not have any <br />questions or discussion regarding the Building Official Report. <br /> <br />In regard to the Police Report, Mayor Gamec stated the court <br />costs have been cut due to more preliminary work being done. <br />Councilman Reimann stated the overtime figures were down. <br /> <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />CASE #1 STAFF REPORTS FOR YEAR ENDING 1980 (Enc D2 Case #8 <br /> <br />January 13, 1981 agenda): <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich stated he would be meeting with Council persons <br />from the City of Anoka, Thursday, January 29, 1981 at 5:00 P.M. <br />along with Councilman Cox to discuss the Anoka/Ramsey Landfill <br />Contract. There was some discussion as to whether this should <br />be considered a special meeting. It was agreed by the Council <br />this would not be considered a special meeting and that no <br />decisions would be made at this joint meeting. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich discussed his January 1981 Monthly Report <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The Council should be aware of potential City and <br />individual Councilmember liability relating to the granting or <br />denial of ordinance variances.
