Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilwoman Van Wagner <br />to have City Engineer Raatikka prepare a resolution for a temporary <br />underpass. Please refer to Resolution #81-2 in Resolution file for this <br />resolution. <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Sorteberg, <br />Councilman Reimann, Councilman Cox and Councilwoman Van Wagner. <br />Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Regarding #6, Airport Study: City Engineer Raatikka reported <br />receiving the Report on City of Ramsey Alternative Airport Site <br />Study Phase II Detailed Analysis of the General Mills Property <br />Site, dated January, 1981, by Consulting Engineers Diversified, <br />Inc. (Exhibit D). Council discussion regarding the study was <br />favorable. Councilman Cox suggested trying to get funding <br />from the state as the new airport would serve the whole regional <br />area. The Metropolitan Airport Commission is very anxious to <br />locate an improved site for an airport. Councilman Cox will <br />be working on the airport study with the MAC. City Engineer <br />Raatikka will be meeting with Ed Fields to submit a proposal <br />to the aeronautics commission. It was decided that at this <br />point in time there is not enough base information to contact <br />General Mills regarding the city's findings. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka reported regarding #7, Feasibility Studies <br />on Drainage Problems 163rd Ave. & Olive St. and 159th Ave. & <br />Dolomite St. have been received. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilwoman Van <br />Wagner to accept the feasibility study for drainage problems re <br />163rd Ave. & Olivine St. and 159th Ave. & Dolomite St. Resolutions <br /> #81-2a (163rd Avenue & Olivine Street) and #81-2b (159th Avenue & Dolomite St.) <br />Discussion: This item should be placed back on the agenda for <br />Apri 1. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Sorteberg, <br />Councilman Reimann, Councilman Cox and Councilwoman Van Wagner. <br />Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Regarding #9, Comprehensive Storm Drain Study: City Engineer <br />Raatikka will draft a proposal to present at the second meeting <br />in February. <br /> <br />Regarding #10, Water Study: With the construction of the Anoka <br />Interceptor the City of Ramsey will have sewer service available in the <br />fall of 1982. City Engineer Raatikka recommends that the city <br />consider constructing a water system concurrently with a sewer <br />system. A follow-up report will be presented for discussion <br />and placed on the agenda for March. <br /> <br />Regarding #11, 1981 MSAS Project: City Engineer Raatikka reported <br />there is no money allocated at present.
