MINNESOTA STAR CITY PROGRAM <br /> <br />Noted by the Council and referred to the Ramsey Economic Development Committee <br />and agenda for March 25, 1981, for the Council. <br /> <br />MAYOR INPUT <br /> <br />Motion by Cox and seconded by Van Wagner, introducing and moving for adoption <br />the following resolution: 81-6 resolution requesting that %he City of Ramsey be <br />furnished its own mail zip code. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Sorteberg, Cotmcilman Reimann, <br />Councilman Cox, Councilwoman Van Wagner. Voting no: None. <br />(See Resolution File number 81-6). <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />D-3 8. Airport Meeting of March 6, 1981. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Cotmcilman Reimann to direct the staff to <br />get on the Metro Council Development Guide Plan for the airport site. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Councilman Sorteberg, Mayor Gamec, Comacilman Cox <br />and Comncilman Reimama. Voting no: Councilwoman Van Wagner. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />D-2 8. Animal Ordinance <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Comncilman Sorteberg to adopt <br />Ordinance #81-2 , Ordinance on keeping of certain animals 110.09. <br />(See Ordinance file number 81- 2 ). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Sorteberg, Councilman Reimann, <br />Councilman Cox, Comncilwoman Van Wagner. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Discussion: Attorney Goodrich commented and discussed using the term animal <br />instead of poultry and domestic livestock. Also the term feedlot, should <br />be defined better. Both the City Administrator and City Attorney mentioned <br />these two terms. The Council discussed and decided to leave out of the <br />ordinance any reference to definition of a feedlot and to use the term <br />animal instead of poultry or domestic livestock. <br /> <br />D-2 8. (c) Codification of Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated he thought a work meeting would be appropriate for this issue. <br /> <br />Comncilman Sorteberg stated the proposed resolution establishing the rates for <br />storm drainage improvement charges should also be discussed at great length <br />before a decision is made. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle will set up a work meeting, a special agenda to <br />discuss in length several issues including the codification of ordinances and <br /> <br />C/March 10, 1981 <br /> 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
