PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Public Hearing: 8:00 - Cable TV <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilwoman Van Wagner <br />Councilman Re imann <br />Councilman Sor teberg <br />Councilman Cox (late 7: 50 p.m.) <br /> <br />Also Present <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br />City Building official Berg <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />City Engineer P~oatikka <br /> <br /> A t~.~blic hearing was held on Tuesday April 14, 1981, at the <br />Ra~sey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., _R~msey, <br />Minnesota 55303, at 8:00 p.m., regarding Cable TV. <br /> <br /> This hearing was called pursuant to the Ramsey City Charter <br />and Section 4.140 (d) (1) of the official rules of the Minnesota <br />Cable Co~aunications Board for the purpose of accepting public <br />'testimony regarding the porposed adoption by the Ramsey City Council <br />of a Request for Proposals for a cable con~uunications franchise. <br /> <br /> Mr. Thomas D. Creighton, an attorney with Dunkley and BenRett~ <br />c~ne before the R~asey City Council to discuss the Cable TV <br />co~aunications franchise proposal procedures and to answer <br />any questions it. He gave a brief explanation of the franchising <br />authority including procedures for sending request for proposals, <br />selection of a franchise, state needs, appendix forms for evaluation, <br />~aluation process and approximate timetable. <br /> <br />There was no in~t from the citizens of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion ]Dy Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann <br />to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
