PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public Hearing was called to order by Mayor Gamec regarding Improvement <br />Project #80-15 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota, at 7:34 P.M. on September 8, 1981. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Reimann <br />Councilmember Van Wagner <br />Councilmember Cox <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br /> <br />Presentation by City Engineer Raatikka regarding proposed assessments for <br />Street Improvement Project #80-15 (176th Ave NW, 176th Lane NW, Xerus Street <br />NW, Wolverine Street NW, Vicuna Street NW, Unicorn Street NW, Rabbit Street <br />NW, Okapi Street NW, Marmoset Street NW). <br /> <br />Scott Golden - 17645 Baugh - Claimed he didn't receive any notice of proposed <br />improvements until after the project was completed, and would have objected <br />to project. He has no access to paved road. Why must he pay 2 assessments? <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec - According to City Ordinances your farmstead could be <br />subdivided into 2 lots. If it is determined that one of the lots is unbuild- <br />able, you will be assessed 1% times. <br /> <br />Larry Ferber - 17501 Baugh - Has been assessed and has no access to paved <br />road. Why should he have even % assessment for no access when he has heard <br />of people in similar situations not paying anything. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox informed Mr. Ferber that the City has had to set up a firm <br />policy in these kinds of situations because of problems that have arisen in <br />the past. <br /> <br />Motion by Counc~lmember Reimann, seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />adjourn the public hearing. Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, <br />Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, Cox and Van Wagner.
