Councilmember Reimann - agrees with Mr. Schnelle. <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner - I am in favor of rezoning with restrictions. <br /> <br />Council review Mr. Isberg's report. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox - If we rezone, we should be sure the citizens are <br />protected in regards to utilities, etc. <br /> <br />Art Braun Manager - Ramsey Medical Clinic - Mr. Isberg's report ~vas <br />very good. Consider those of us who have already invested accordingly <br />to the codes. <br /> <br />Steve Schmidt - 5420 173rd Avenue N.W. You are not really allowing <br />in new business, but allowing the existing businesses in that location <br />to do a better business. I have with me tonight two gentlemen that can <br />answer any questions you have regardging water table and two gentlemen~ <br />who are planners to answer any questions in regards to the Metro Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox that based on findings of fact presented, <br />move to deny the B-1 zoning application and to approve a B-1-A zone <br />which will permit only very specific uses and instruct City Staff. to <br />develop language for such a zone and proceed with code regulations in <br />having such an amendment adopted. <br /> <br />Motion seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Mr. Schmidt Couldn't Council go with a PUD and an overriding B-ii-A? <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich - We could, but we are not sure we want to go with a PUD. <br /> <br />John Sharp You can approve PUD and change it later. <br /> <br />Council grants conceptual approval to Mr. Schmidt. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Reimann, Van Wagner and Cox. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />to adopt the findings of fact regarding the request for rezoning of <br />Plat 89211 Parcel 9000 of land owned by Mr. Wes Bulen which from R-1 <br />to B-1 for use as a golf course and clubhouse. ~ <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, Cox, <br />Sorteberg and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cox to <br />approve of adopting Ordinance #81- 9 which rezones the parcel of <br />land as described in the ordinance from R-1 to Recreational (R-i-A). <br />Refer to Ordinance File for Ordinance #81-9. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
