Board Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION/404-04-083 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0668 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FOR A VARIANCE TO THE FRONT YARD SETBACK IN ORDER TO CONSTRUCT <br />AN ADDITION ONTO THE EXISTING PRINCIPAL STRUCTURE AT THE <br />PROPERTY GENERALLY KNOWN AS 17060 BISON STREET NWo <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chris and Ann Lampreeht, hereinafter referred to as "Applicants," have <br />properly applied for a variance from Sections 9.20.11 of the Ramsey City Code to construct an <br />addition onto their existing home that will encroach into the front yard setback on the property <br />generally known as 17060 Bison Street NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />That part of the west 60 acres of the Northwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 32 <br />North, Range 25 West, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point on the west line of the east 165 feet of said west 60 acres of the <br />Northwest Quarter 631 feet north of the south line of said west 60 acres of the <br />Northwest Quarter, thence west, parallel with said south line of said west 60 acres of <br />the Northwest Quarter a distance of 300 feet, thence north, parallel with said west <br />line of said east 165 feet of said west 60 acres of the Northwest Quarter, a distance of <br />200 feet, thence east, parallel with south line of west 60 acres of the Northwest <br />Quarter, a distance of 300 feet, and to the west line of the said east 165 feet of the <br />said west 60 acres of the Northwest Quarter, thence south, along said west line of <br />said east 165 feet of said west 60 acres of the Northwest Quarter, 200 feet to the <br />point of beginning and there terminating. <br /> <br />(Subject Property) <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.05 of the <br />Ramsey City Code on April 1, 2004, and that said public hearing was properly advertised, <br />and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated as part of these findings <br />by reference. <br /> <br />2. That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Single Family Residential (Rural Developing) and is <br /> approximately 1.2 acres in size. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property is surrounded by properties zoned R-1 Single Family Residential <br /> (Rural Developing). <br /> <br />4. That Section 9.20.11 of the Ramsey City Code states that the front yard setback for structures <br /> is 40 feet. <br /> <br />5. That the Applicants are proposing to construct an addition onto the principal dwelling that <br /> will encroach 6 feet into the front building setback line. <br /> <br /> <br />
