I live at 16090 Andrie St NW in Ramsey.
I am writing you regarding my concerns for the above mentioned project that affects
my property ... and of course my pocketbook. ;)
While two options were presented by the Homeowners Association that I assume
came from the city ... each one with its own form of "deal breaker" for me.
One option provides for a parking lane which is not really needed given the fact that
the neighborhood is essentially built out and with the size of our lots ... already
provides for an abundance of off road parking. Only for an occasion that someone
is having is their a need for someone to park on the street and this is managed very
nicely by the residents.
If we do not succumb to the parking lane you (The City) want to post no parking
signs which takes away the option of parking when occasional parking is needed for a
short period of time which is unnecessary... the no overnight parking works well.
My Question: Since the neighborhood is built out and there is not the anticipation of a
higher volume of parking needed ... why do we need to provide an option
to clutter Andrie St with cars 24/7..and why is there a need for No Parking signs
which would only serve as a conduit for parking tickets when someone is having
an occasion at their home and needs a little flexibility.
I feel we are trying to address an issue that does not exist and would
ultimately provide "a solution that transcends the initial chaos." The ped/bike lane on
the other hand is an excellent compromise.
Respectfully,
Kevin Leonard
