ORDINANCE #15-08 CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 117 OF THE CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS KNOWN AS ZONING AND SUBDIVISIONS OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 117-355 (RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OFF- STREET PARKING) OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE. The City of Ramsey Ordains: SECTION 1 AUTHORITY This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of Ramsey. SECTION 2 AMENDMENTS Section 117-355 Subsection (B) (2) a. is amended to read as follows: a. On all residential parcels: 1. Motor vehicles stored or parked in a side or rear yard shall maintain a setback of at least 5 feet from the edge of the parking surface to the lot line(s). 2. Equipment parked or stored in the side yard shall maintain a setback of at least 5 feet from the edge of the parking surface to the lot line(s). 3. Equipment parked or stored in the rear yard shall maintain a setback of at least 5 feet from the lot line(s). SECTION 3. SUMMARY The following is the official summary of Ordinance # 15-08, which has been approved by the City Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance. It is the intent and effect of Ordinance #15-08 to amend Ramsey, Minnesota City Code Sections 117-355 to: • Eliminate the provision that on properties less than two (2) acres in size motor vehicles and equipment shall be parked closer to the principal structure than the lot line. • Eliminate the provision that on properties two (2) acres or greater in size motor vehicles and equipment shall maintain a 15 foot setback from the lot line. • Establish a minimum setback requirement of five (5) feet from side and rear property lines for motor vehicles and equipment parked on any residential property, regardless of property size.
