Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-06-146 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR 2015 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM <br />DIVISION B, OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS; IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #15-00 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 10th, 2015, a <br />Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed bituminous <br />pavement overlay improvements to numerous public street segments within the City of Ramsey <br />as Division B of the 2015 Street Maintenance Program, including other appurtenant work as <br />needed; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted March 10th, 2015, the <br />Feasibility Report was received and accepted, and a Public Hearing was ordered for March 24th, <br />2015 at 7 p.m., where the City Council will consider the proposed improvements for said streets <br />in accordance with the Feasibility Report; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />improvements as required by law and on March 24th, 2015, the City Council conducted a public <br />hearing for the proposed improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted March 24th, 2015, the <br />City Engineer was designated as the engineer for the proposed improvements and was ordered to <br />prepare plans and specifications with reference to 2015 Street Maintenance Program Division B, <br />Overlay Improvements; Improvement Project 915-00; and <br />WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and in accordance with <br />Chapter 8 of the City Charter, applicable City codes, and the City of Ramsey's adopted Special <br />Assessments Policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The City Council hereby approves final plans and specifications as prepared by the City <br />Engineer for the making of such improvements, and authorizes the advertisement of bids <br />for the same improvements. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof. <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />RESOLUTION #15-06-146 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
