CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Council held <br />a public hearing in regards to the rezoning request of Mr. Jack Menkveld' <br />on January 8, 1979 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Councilman Muller <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Cox <br />Mayor Gamec <br /> <br />Also Present City Adm. Schnelle <br /> City Attorney Goodrich <br /> City Engineer Raatikka <br /> Building Official Berg <br /> Street Superintendent Mevissen <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:40 and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained this was a public hearing on the rezoning request <br />of Mr. Jack Menkveld from R-1 to I-1 in the Transitional Area. <br /> <br />Mrs. Dan Mcdinnis asked what is light industry and what is light zoning. <br /> <br />Jack Menkveld explained they are asking for light industrial zoning as <br />they don't want any real heavy industry in the area. <br /> <br />Mrs. Dan McGinnis stated they were not in favor at the last meeting and <br />are still of the same opinion. <br /> <br />Mr. Menkveld and Mrs. McGinnis discussed in length the effect on the <br />land area in the proposed rezoning area. Mr. Menkveld stated there <br />could be restrictive covenances placed in the deed as he had stated in <br />previous meetings and if accepted the Council would then act on it that <br />way. <br /> <br />There was no further citizen input. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Muller to adjourn the public hearing was made. <br />Councilman Muller withdrew his motion as there was more discussion. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox asked Mr. Menkveld about the septic tank which was to <br />be removed sometime ago. <br /> <br />Mr. Menkveld stated the one in charge of that tank is not present. <br /> <br />It was asked if the parties involved here with the rezoning request <br />were also involved in the septic tank issue. <br /> <br />It was stated they were. <br /> <br />It was also asked about a date for removal of the tank and Mr. Menkveld <br />stated(he would discuss it with his father Mr. Gilbert Menkveld.) <br /> <br /> <br />
