Regular Council <br />Page 7 <br />February 26~ 1979 <br /> <br />scheduled for a Board of Adjustment hearing earlier in the evening but the <br />hearing was postponed until the Council had a chance to vote on the rezoning <br />of the Rural Service Area in regards to lot sizes in platting. The actual <br />variance request was for a decrease in lot frontage but no longer is needed. <br />Now Mr. Mitchel is asking for permission to divide by metes and bounds and <br />also to have a discussion on the park dedication fee as he ~elt it was too <br />high. <br /> <br />A discussion of the request followed. It was the general concensus of the <br />Council to limit the access onto County Road #7 and Highway #47 by the use <br />of service road to the area. He was advised to discuss the situation with <br />City Engineer Raatikka and to follow the provisions in the subdivision ordi- <br />nance. City Engineer Raatikka was advised to write Mr. Mitchell in regards <br />to what he is required and then return with a sketch plan. <br /> <br />A verbal individual concensus of the Council was taken as what they felt Mr. <br />Mitchell should do and is as follows: <br /> <br />Councilman Cox - stated he should follow the platting ordinance <br />Councilman Mickelson - stated he should follow the platting ordinance <br />Councilman Reimann - stated he should limit the access to County <br /> Road #7 and Highway #47 in making it safe for <br /> traffic and also allow for future resubdivision <br />Mayor Gamec - stated he should allow for safe access and follow the <br /> platting ordinance. <br /> <br />LIGENSES FOR APPROVAL <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Micketson and seconded by Mayor Gamec to approve the <br />following licenses: <br /> <br />#79-47 Tri-Co Builders, 2261 Fairoak, Anoka, Minnesota 55303 General <br />#79-01 Scott Construction, 7415 Wayzata Blvd., Minneapolis, Minnesota General <br />#79-31 Lida Construction, 16413 Jaspar Street, Anoka, Minnesota General <br />#79-02 Zachman Homes, Inc., 7760 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, Minnesota General <br />#79-41 McClellan Builders, 5152 - 163rd Lane N.W., Anoka, Minnesota General <br />#79-88 Westphal Construction Company, 22728 Jarvis Street, Elk River General <br />#79-87 Cook Brothers Construction, 429 Line Avenue, Elk River General <br />#79-89 Mitsch Plumbing, 317 Central, Osseo, Minnesota Plumbing <br />#79-57 Grant P. Schmitt, 2948 - 161st Avenue N.W., Anoka, Minnesota Septic <br />#79-48 Charles Winch Service, 7435 Highway #10 N.W., Anoka, Minnesota Motor Veh. <br />#108-79 McGregor's, 6845 West Highway #10 N.W., Anoka, Minnesota Cigarette <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Reimann, Mickelson and <br />Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich asked the Council their view on whether the Building <br />Official should issue a permit to Mr. August Grosslein if he should come in <br />and apply prior to March 12, 1979. He sited the fact that if Mr. Grosslein <br />reduces the size of his building and meets all the requirements of the ordi- <br />nance and does not need the variance legally we cannot refuse the building <br />permit. <br /> <br /> <br />
